Myrtel Team Verlag for multisensory learning concepts

Children are our future – and primary school is the foundation for life. The publisher Myrtel Team has developed a multi-sensory early reading and writing system for primary schools that is unique and innovative: “Myrtel and Bo“! It increases motivation, makes learning more enjoyable and improves children’s performance overall. It is based on a sensorimotor learning principle, which means it involves hearing, seeing, moving, touching, feeling, dancing and music.

The Myrtel team of authors is made up of teachers from different areas (such as primary schools or schools for children with disabilities) who have developed this system based on their practical experience. The success story began during the school year of 2003 with a pilot phase in 12 first-grade classes in Hamburg. Today, there are already 3000 pupils in 112 classes in Hamburg, Schleswig Holstein and Niedersachsen who are learning with “Myrtel and Bo”.

Actual experience and results show calm, concentrated children who are willing to work hard and perform at a high level. Teachers also benefit from the clear structure of the work and the large variety of teaching methods. The appealing, high-quality materials have been designed in a way that eliminates the need to spend time and money on making copies.
